The idea

A small operation, run properly.

Not a management company with a hundred keys. Two homes across two gated Portmore villages, looked after personally by the person who owns them — which is why the reviews keep returning to the same things: how clean it is, how comfortable people feel, and how quickly someone answers.

The idea is simple. Keep a proper base in Jamaica, and use it to see the island on your own terms. Kingston is across the harbour. Hellshire and its fish shacks are ten minutes away. The Blue Mountains, the north coast, the rivers and the old towns are all a drive rather than a flight.

A home base for discovering Jamaica.

You are not confined to a resort, and not paying resort prices for a room you barely use. You get an entire home — space to spread out, a kitchen, your own front door, and somewhere that feels like yours while you are here. Go out and make the island your itinerary; come back somewhere quiet at the end of it.

The home is inside a gated village with security cameras on the property, and it is genuinely quiet. It is the thing guests mention most often after the cleanliness.

Yes — there is a dedicated workspace, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a kitchen, which is why a fair number of guests come for business rather than holiday.
